You Are:

A Security and Risk professional specializing in application security and modernization, focused on updating and transforming existing applications to cloud-first models, enhancing their resilience against evolving threats. You are skilled in the transition of legacy systems, including .NET apps, Linux web apps, Java apps, and SQL databases, to public, private, or hybrid cloud environments. In this role, you develop and implement advanced policies, practices, and tools that safeguard these modernized applications from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, or disruption.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to strong client relationships through direct interactions, understanding client security needs for modernized applications.
  • Customize and modernize security architectures for a range of applications including .NET, Linux web apps, Java apps, and SQL databases, ensuring secure, scalable cloud deployments.
  • Provide expertise during the migration of legacy applications to cloud environments, ensuring compliance and security standards are met.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge in application security with a focus on security challenges associated with cloud migration and modernization.
  • Communicate client expectations to the engagement team effectively and ensure alignment with project security objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments, particularly focusing on modernized environments.
  • Assume responsibility for significant components of engagements, with a potential larger role in smaller, critical projects.
  • Contribute to engagement planning and ensure deliverables meet contract and work plan objectives.
  • Deliver services that meet Accenture Project Manager specifications and exceed client expectations.
  • Recognize and communicate opportunities to enhance existing security frameworks as part of ongoing client engagements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in application security, with a strong focus on modernizing security frameworks and implementing secure, scalable solutions in cloud environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in migrating and securing .NET apps, Linux web apps, Java apps, SAP apps, and/or SQL databases in cloud settings.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
  • Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a consultant/advisory capacity, with Big Four experience being an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of internal controls and security protocols, particularly in the context of cloud-based application security.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Demonstrated success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Desire to work in an environment fostering teamwork and camaraderie.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below.
