Summary: As an Application Developer, you will design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. A typical day involves collaborating with various teams to understand their needs, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring that applications are aligned with business objectives. You will engage in problem-solving activities, participate in team meetings, and contribute to the overall success of projects by leveraging your expertise in application development. Roles & Responsibilities: - Data Engineer with a minimum of 3+ years of experience. The role will require deep knowledge of data engineering techniques to create data pipelines and build data assets to meet reporting requirements and deliver use cases for the Castrol business. - At least 3+ years of Strong hands-on programming experience with pySpark / Python / Boto3 including Python Frameworks, libraries according to python best practices. - Development experience in AWS services mainly on Lambda, Step function, Redshift, Glue. - Strong experience in code optimization using spark SQL and pyspark. - Understanding of Code versioning ,Git repository , JFrog Artifactory. - AWS Architecture knowledge specially on S3, EC2, Lambda, Redshift, CloudFormation etc - Should have good knowledge on building and deploying python applications - Experience of writing complex pipelines with huge volumes of data. - Ability to debug pyspark code - Communicate with a team in order to coordinate and document application development and testing. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in PySpark, Python (Programming Language) - Good To Have Skills: Experience with AWS data services: S3, Glue, Redshift, Lake Formation, Athena, IAM, etc., Data Engineering. - Strong understanding of data processing frameworks and distributed computing. - Experience in developing and optimizing data pipelines. - Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and deployment strategies. - Experience with metadata ingestion pipelines, REST APIs, or open metadata standards. - Knowledge of data governance, access control, and compliance standards - Familiarity with CI/CD for data workflows and infrastructure-as-code - Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or other orchestration tools. - Prior experience in a cloud-to-cloud or hybrid data migration project. - Development/Delivery methodologies – Agile, SDLC - Experience working in a geographically disparate team. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS). - A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
