Responsibilities
- Develop Enterprise Security Architecture capabilities.
- Define and design security architecture and design principles.
- Develop security architecture blueprints and use cases.
- Develop enterprise security architecture models.
- Ensure that Cybersecurity Architecture design is aligned with the organization's Cybersecurity strategy.
- Develop and integrate Cybersecurity designs for systems and networks with multilevel security requirements.
- Perform cybersecurity reviews and identify gaps in security architecture, to develop cybersecurity risk management plans.
- Provide input to the risk management framework and related documentation.
- Advise on security requirements to be included in RFP process, project and change management processes
- Analyze candidate architectures, allocate security services, and select security mechanisms.
- Define and prioritize essential system capabilities or business functions required for partial or full system restoration after a catastrophic failure event.
- Ensure that acquired or developed systems and architectures are consistent with organization's
- cybersecurity architecture guidelines.
- Translate proposed capabilities into technical requirements.
- Design systems and solutions to support successful proofs-of-concept and pilot projects in emerging
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, specifications, drawings, blueprints, and schematics relating to systems and networks.
- Recommend cost-effective security controls to mitigate risks identified through testing and review
- Develop and address security architecture and systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition life cycle.
- Guarantee that acquired or developed systems and architectures are consistent with cybersecurity architecture guidelines.
- Read and translate technical diagrams, specifications, drawings, blueprints and schematics relating to systems and networks.
- Must have experience in cloud security and able to architect for azure , aws , googlecloud or private cloud
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information security, cybersecurity or relevant field.
- 7+ years of experience in similar position
- Should be certified in CISSP, CISM, TOGAF Foundation, SABSA SCF, or equal certifications
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Consulting, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Flexibility to travel
- Knowledge of SABSA and TOGAF frameworks.
- Ability to apply network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles.
- Ability to apply secure system design tools, methods, and techniques and in line with security policies.
- Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements.
- Ability to develop and maintain architecture to support an organization's goals and objectives.
- Ability to optimize systems to meet enterprise performance requirements
- Ability to work with enterprise architects, systems security engineers, system owners, control owners, and system security officers to apply security controls as system-specific, hybrid, or common controls.
- Knowledge of the organization's enterprise cybersecurity architecture.
- Knowledge of the principles of cybersecurity and privacy.
- Knowledge of how to analyze capabilities and requirements.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity defense and vulnerability assessment tools and their capabilities.
- Knowledge of network components, their operation, appropriate network security controls, traffic protocols, methods, and management.
- Knowledge and understanding of risk assessment, mitigation, and management methods.
- Knowledge of relevant cybersecurity and privacy principles and related legislative and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of cybersecurity-related threats and vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge and understanding of new technologies and solutions from a cybersecurity perspective.
- Knowledge of key security management concepts.
