Project Role Description : Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Docker Developer and Image Management Engineer to lead the containerization strategy for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in Docker, image lifecycle management, and DevOps practices on Azure Cloud, including Azure DevOps Pipelines and Azure Container Registry (ACR). You will be responsible for building, managing, securing, and optimizing Docker images, enabling CI/CD automation, and supporting scalable deployments through private registries. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Docker & Image Management • Design, build, and optimize Docker images for performance, security, and size. • Maintain and version base images using best practices (multi-stage builds, caching layers). • Manage image lifecycle: tagging, signing, vulnerability scanning, and deprecation strategies. • Automate image updates and dependency management. Private Container Registry • Configure and maintain Azure Container Registry (ACR) or other registries (e.g., Harbor, Artifactory). • Implement image access controls, RBAC, and network rules to secure registries. • Enforce content trust using image signing (Docker Content Trust, Notary, Cosign). • Integrate image scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, Aqua, Clair, Microsoft Defender for Containers) for vulnerability detection. Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab. • Automate image builds, tests, and pushes to private registries as part of pipeline execution. • Embed quality gates, security scans, and approval workflows in the pipeline. • Enable blue/green or canary deployments using container release strategies. Azure Integration • Work with Azure services like AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), App Services for Containers, and Azure Monitor. • Integrate image lifecycle automation with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates). • Use Azure CLI, PowerShell, and Kubernetes CLI (kubectl) for deployment automation. Collaboration & Governance • Work with development teams to ensure container best practices in app design. • Define container usage standards across teams (naming, tagging, base images, vulnerability policies). • Monitor and optimize image storage costs, retention policies, and registry health. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Experience: • 4+ years of Docker development and container engineering experience • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, ACR, and CI/CD workflows • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell • Deep understanding of Linux containers, Docker networking, and volumes • Familiarity with container image security, scanning, and policy enforcement • Experience with YAML pipelines and Git-based workflows ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications: • Docker Certified Associate (DCA) • Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert • Experience with Kubernetes, especially AKS • Familiarity with GitOps, ArgoCD, or FluxCD is a plus • Knowledge of OCI-compliant registries like Harbor or JFrog Artifactory ________________________________________ Soft Skills: • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration • Attention to detail in image security and performance • Proactive in automation and CI/CD improvements • Ability to mentor and guide DevOps or platform teams15 years full time education
