Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to troubleshoot problems, analyzing system performance, and ensuring the smooth operation of applications that are vital to business functions. You will engage with users to understand their challenges and work diligently to implement effective solutions, all while maintaining a focus on service excellence and operational efficiency. Job Description: • Solid understanding of Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022 preferred). • Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking basics. • Strong troubleshooting skills related to Windows Server operating systems. • Practical knowledge of disk management tools and techniques. • Basic experience in storage management (SAN/NAS exposure is a plus). • Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks. • Good communication and documentation skills. Key Responsibilities: • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments. • Manage virtual machines and resources within Microsoft Azure IaaS. • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve system-level issues related to Windows Server OS. • Carry out disk and volume management tasks including partitioning, expansion, and optimization. • Provide basic support for storage solutions and assist with capacity planning. • Write and execute basic PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks. • Monitor system performance, patch updates, and ensure system security and compliance. • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure smooth operation of infrastructure services. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): • Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, MCSA, or similar). • Exposure to hybrid cloud environments. • Familiarity with monitoring tools and backup solutions Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server Administration. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS. - Strong knowledge of server configuration and management. - Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions. - Experience in scripting for automation of routine tasks. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Microsoft Windows Server Administration. - This position is based at our Kolkata office. - A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
