The Silicon Design group is a diverse team of world class silicon engineers. We have 100+ years of cumulative hands-on experience in architecture, logic design, verification, physical design, emulation and firmware. We are involved in all aspects of chip design from definition and architecture through to verification and signoff. We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as the Director of Software Engineering, overseeing a world-class organization of Software Engineers and Architects. This role is responsible for driving the development of software solutions that power our clients silicon product design and development across cutting-edge technologies including Edge Compute, Software & AI, Data Center, and Client Compute.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development Leadership

  • Direct and manage global teams across the full software lifecycle: design, development, validation, debugging, optimization, customer engagement, and product support.

  • Lead the creation of software and workflow automation tools, including generative AI solutions for silicon design, pre-silicon simulation, and product development.

Technology Strategy & Execution

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for software engineering across multiple layers of the stack: firmware, drivers, operating systems, applications, infrastructure, and platforms.

  • Ensure alignment with Intel’s broader product and technology roadmap.

Business & Financial Ownership

  • Own full P&L for a global internal software consulting organization.

  • Drive revenue growth, cost efficiency, and service scalability through strategic investments in talent and innovation.

Global Team Leadership

  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration across geographically distributed teams.

  • Mentor and develop high-performing engineering leaders and technical talent.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Ensure delivery excellence and customer satisfaction across global accounts.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

    What You Need:

    • Minimum of 10 years leading large-scale global software engineering organizations, including onshore/offshore delivery teams

    • Minimum of 5 years leading silicon design workflows and software development across the stack

    • Minimum of 10 years managing a $15M P&L

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If master’s degree or equivalent (minimum 10-year work experience)

      Bonus Points if You Have:

      • Experience with AI/ML technologies and their application in engineering workflows is preferred

      • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment

      • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

      • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

      • Excellent leadership and management skills

      Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York or Washington as set forth below.
