Position Summary
Responsible for performing general administrative support tasks for the business office for UTPD and Physical Security
Position Qualifications
· Minimum- High School Diploma/GED, 1 -2 years clerical experience
· Preferred - Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, knowledge of basic accounting principles, knowledge of basic statistical concepts, 3 or more years clerical experience

· Good written and verbal communication skills. Positive interpersonal skills. Decision making skills. Active listening skills. Strong computer skills including data entry, Excel proficiency, ability to utilize Microsoft Teams and shared files, basic knowledge of Word and Adobe Professional. Basic mathematical skills.
· Ability to be self-motivated. Ability to multi-task. Ability to successfully complete TN Incident Based Ability to be self-motivated. Ability to multi-task. Ability to work in a multicultural setting. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Ability to use tact and discretion when dealing with a variety of issues. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups.

Position Description
Administrative Financial Support:
Reviews and ensures compliance with the accuracy and completeness of data, documents, and reports
Maintains departmental purchase request logs in Excel
Organize and maintains documentation for financial transactions - ensures required documentation is available to attach to financial transactions; retrieves and attaches required documentation to incoming financial transactions
Clerical
Assist with answering and directing phone calls
Maintain electronic personnel files
Maintain office supply inventory
Email Correspondence
Backup for other administration assistance duties
Assist with other administrative business office duties as needed
Preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products and shared electronic files
Hours
Standard administrative hours, typically 8 am – 5 pm Monday – Friday.
Process
Candidates should complete an online application with the UT Office of Human Resources. A committee will review applications and conduct interviews for the position. Committee recommendations will be forwarded to the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police may conduct final interviews. The Chief of Police will select the applicant for this position.
