The Office of the University Registrar at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our Operations Coordinator, Undergraduate Curriculum and Catalog position. The Position:
This is an on-campus position with some hybrid/remote work schedule flexibility.
The Operations Coordinator (Curriculum & Catalog) is a direct report to the Assistant Registrar for Curriculum and Catalog Management. The position, in close collaboration with the Assistant Registrar and the Specialist (Curriculum & Catalog) is responsible for all operational implementation of the institutional undergraduate curricular and catalog systems, including the curricular management system (Curriculog), catalog management system (Acalog), and curricular information in the student information system (Banner). Under the supervision of the Assistant Registrar, the Coordinator will provide support for all undergraduate curricular activities undertaken by the colleges as well as creation and maintenance of an annual Undergraduate Catalog. The Undergraduate Catalog is the official source of the university's undergraduate academic programs, courses, policies, and procedures. The position will assist the Assistant Registrar with the interpretation of institutional and state academic policy regarding curricular development to assist colleges with curricular needs.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree-
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a Registrar’s or Student Service office; and 1 year experience with computer information systems, particularly database-driven software solutions, or equivalent combination
• Experience can include internship or practicum
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree-
• 3 years of professional experience in a Registrar’s or Student Services office
• Knowledge of university policies and procedures
• Familiarity with undergraduate or graduate curricula management and/or development
• Direct working experience with Banner, Acalog, and/or Curriculog
• Experience with policy interpretation and development (ideally at a large, public university)

Due to the complexity of the curriculum of a large university, the position requires:

• Proficient computer skills
• Interest in and comfort with new and emerging software and technology

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Working knowledge and experience with student information systems, preferably Banner
• Working knowledge and experience with curricular management systems, preferably Curriculog
• Working knowledge and experience with catalog management systems, preferably Acalog
• SQL programming language knowledge

The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 190 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Center for Financial Wellness, University Registrar, Pre-college Research Excellence Programs, EM Research & Analytics, EM Communications, and EM Operations.
