Hiring Salary: $4,144.04 - $4,833.33/Monthly

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Operations Manager provides oversight and support of administrative and operational activities of specific dental clinics within the College of Dentistry, in conjunction with the faculty (clinical leadership).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provides administrative oversight to clinical operations, and helps guide compliance and implementation of major projects, programs, and operational initiatives.
  2. Strategically identifies, studies, and recommends effective and proactive solutions for clinical service problems.
  3. Develops comprehensive plans in collaboration with faculty leadership for the enhancement of operational flow patterns, and workflow controls.
  4. Establishes proper monitoring measures and defines innovative measurements of performance standards to include, but not limited to customer service, productivity, patient scheduling, registration, internal workflow, etc.
  5. Oversees/develops processes/SOPs in accordance with university guidelines. Collaborates with OSHA representative and Director of Infection Control to ensure clinical space and equipment maintenance.
  6. Ensures accuracy of paperwork and licensing needs of clinics and faculty in collaboration with the College of Dentistry’s Revenue Cycle team and Business Office.
  7. Manages maintenance process for adequate staffing to support clinical operations. Provides staffing support for temporary coverage.
  8. Oversees and supervises staff for UDP, AEGD, and Special Needs Clinic to include Lead Dental Assistant.
  9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting; OR a combination of education and related work experience to equal six (6) years.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of clinical workflows and process improvement techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize, manage, and organize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work evenings.
