Are you passionate about sustainability and excellent at communicating? East Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition (ETCF) and TN Water Resources Research Center (TNWRRC) is looking for a dynamic Communications Coordinator to join our team. If you're ready to make an impact and help drive environmental initiatives forward, this could be the perfect role for you!

Position: Communications Coordinator

Location: Knoxville, TN

Department: Institute for a Secure & Sustainable Environment (ISSE)

About the Role:

As the Communications Coordinator, you'll be the voice of ETCF and TNWRRC, driving our outward-facing vision and increasing visibility for our projects. You'll manage digital media, craft compelling content, and coordinate public relations efforts.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Media Management (70%)

Oversee all social media accounts for ETCF and TNWRRC.

Manage websites and YouTube channels.

Create, schedule, and track digital advertising campaigns.

Analyze and report on social media and website metrics.

Public Relations & Outreach (30%)

Develop and distribute newsletters, press releases, and other communications.

Organize and edit video content.

Assist with public relations and outreach to media outlets.

Create marketing materials and manage merchandise creation.

What We're Looking For:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Knowledge of social media platforms and Microsoft Office suite.

Ability to work effectively with a team and the public.

Preferred Qualifications:

Fundraising experience.

Familiarity with WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite.

Experience with electric vehicles and related technologies.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field with 1 year of experience, or

Specialized training in digital media or social media management with 5 years of experience.

Other Requirements:

Valid driver's license.

Ability to travel occasionally in-state and infrequently out-of-state.
