Description
We are looking for a Manager of Bursar Account Services to oversee all the day-to-day operation of the student centric customer service experience.
Your main responsibilities include management of the Bursar Service staff overseeing student payments, external scholarships, Salesforce cases, student account discrepancies, financial aid matters, the Bursar email account, and phone bank. our budget, procurement and payment of supplies and setup of our financial procedures. To be successful in this role, you should be able to perform multiple tasks in a timely and effective manner, under minimum supervision.
Responsibilities
· Manage the day-to-day processing of all student payments and external scholarship posting
· Oversee the billing and receipt process to ensure timely and accurate billing statements for students.
· Maintains the accuracy of student tuition and fee accounts.
· Review tuition and fees and approving account adjustments and accurate student refunds.
· Maintains policies and procedures related to Bursar’s Office and receivables.
· Collaborate with other areas to implement and improve processes and procedures that increase service to students and strengthen administrative operations.
· Supervise and lead the staff in the Bursar's Service staff by providing excellent management, training, and support.
Qualifications
Requirements and skills
· Proven work experience as a manager
· Computer literacy (MS Office in particular)
· Strong financial management skills
· Knowledge of accounting procedures and best practices
· Solid time management skills with an ability to prioritize work
· Excellent analytical skills and experience creating reports and presentations
· BS degree in Accounting, Business Management or relevant degree
