Job Description
The Abel Research Group is seeking highly motivated Postdoctoral Associates to join our dynamic team for projects focused on computational cell-free biology. These positions will contribute to a large-scale, multi-institutional collaborative effort aimed at advancing fundamental understanding and use-inspired applications of cell-free systems.
Responsibilities
Our team uses approaches from computational biophysics, systems biology, and synthetic biology to understand and design biological function in cell-free systems. Projects will involve the development and application of computational approaches to model, simulate, and optimize cell-free systems. The work will be conducted in close collaboration with experimental teams across several leading academic and industrial institutions, offering ample opportunities for interdisciplinary, high-impact research.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in chemical engineering, biophysics, computational biology, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in computational modeling, systems biology, soft materials, machine learning, or statistical mechanics
- Proficiency in programming and experience with model development and analysis
- Strong communication skills and publication record
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams

Compensation and Benefits
- Anticipated hiring range: $67,000
