Job Description
This position in the Army Reserve Officer's Training Corps (ROTC) program is multi-faceted and requires a keen understanding of the goals and objectives of both the University of Tennessee-Knoxville (UTK) and the Army ROTC program. It plays a critical role in ensuring effective communication between the University and the Army ROTC program, particularly with the current department head, referred to as the Professor of Military Science (PMS), and other Army ROTC personnel. The responsibilities of this position are diverse and encompass various tasks aimed at directly supporting the Army ROTC's mission on the UTK Campus.
Responsibilities
The many responsibilities of the Army Admin Assistant include: Budget and Inventory management, Recruiting and Fundraising Support, Administrative Support, Academic Support to students, Travel planning, and Logistical Support.
Qualifications
Any applicant must currently possess strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including experience with the University’s system, DASH. Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are all necessary to facilitate the blend of University and Department of the Army policies and procedures. Must demonstrate proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher, etc., and Adobe products.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree
- Experience: 2 years’ experience Microsoft Office suite, accounting software, social media guidelines and management.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: accounting principles and practices, University policies and procedures, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor Degree
- Experience: 4 years’ experience Microsoft Office Suite, accounting software, social media management
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: accounting principles and practices, University policies and procedures, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Prior DASH experience.
Work Location Hoskins Library, University of Tennessee-Knoxville, onsite.

Compensation and Benefits
- UT market range: MR06
- Anticipated hiring range: $45,000-50,000
