This position will be primarily responsible for providing Audio Visual installation and operational support of Classrooms, Conference Rooms and Digital Signage at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. In addition, this position will provide audio video technical support for Athletic events. Provide audio video support for special events held at the University of Tennessee, support for campus cable TV systems, and digital surveillance systems. Provide integration and technical support of classroom AV systems. This position will require evening and weekend work on a regular basis. Overtime, on call and limited travel will be required of this position. Qualification include a working knowledge of various AV Technologies. Installation of various types of audio and video equipment and connectors. A valid driver’s License is required.

Required Qualifications
Education:
Associate’s degree in electronics or A/V related field, or 3 years of related experience with installing audio and video equipment and connectors.
Experience:
Experience with installing audio and video equipment and connectors
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of advanced video including HDMI, HDSCDI, USB-C, VGA and analog video
Knowledge of audio routing and wiring
Skill of basic electronic repair
Valid Driver’s License is required

Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
Experience with Extron Control System programming
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Working knowledge of power tools
Knowledge of control codes
Knowledge and skill to write programming code for equipment used in classrooms

Anticipated hiring range: $52,000
