The Office of the Visitors Center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our LDA - Coordinator of VolCorps Student Programs position. The minimum starting salary for this position is $44,577. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree must be obtained by the date of hire; current students nearing graduation are encouraged to apply.
2 years of student employment within guest relations/tour experience required. Student volunteer work and/or internship experience will be considered.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment-based visa status.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Must have some experience giving oral presentations.
2+ years experience working with diverse populations, student employment included.
Previous work with student employees or campus tours.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience and knowledge of working with a tour/ambassador program
Knowledge and experience working with Undergraduate Admissions or Student Services & Experience

This is an on-campus position with some hybrid/remote work schedule flexibility.
The VolCorps Student Programs Limited Duration Appointment (LDA) supports the coordination, execution, and continuous improvement of student engagement programs and visitor experience initiatives within the University of Tennessee Enrollment Management Division. This position works closely with the Associate Director, Visitors Center and Student Programs to support student-led engagement efforts, including the Student Ambassador Program, STAR and Volunteer Team, as part of the University’s VolCorps initiatives. The role contributes to delivering high-quality campus experiences for prospective students, families, and guests through effective program management, student staff development, and operational support for recruitment and outreach activities.
