The Office of Innovative Technologies has an immediate opening for a Video Production Professional.
We are looking for an individual with a video production background, technical curiosity and problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn and try new solutions.
This position supports the university's instructional video services, live webcasting of events, and digitization and online delivery of content for educational purposes. This position provides consultation and training in these areas of expertise and collaborates and supports video production efforts. This position will primarily work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm; however, they must be able to work any shift, including evening and occasional weekend shifts.
This is a Limited Duration Appointment, which will be re-evaluated after one year, with the potential to be extended for up to three years.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training, internship, and experience.
Experience: Two years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge and experience with live-event productions.
Knowledge of current video production and editing techniques.
Knowledge and basic experience in scriptwriting, producing, directing, and coordinating video shoots and projects.
Experience with the setup and troubleshooting of audio and video equipment operation (for example, cameras, microphones, mixers, video switchers, live streaming encoders).
Understanding of video and audio paths from camera, presenter, room, and input and output devices.
Intermediate level of knowledge of office productivity tools, including Microsoft Office and Excel
Strong organizational skills
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment-based visa status.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Experience working within a higher education environment.
Experience with making video and digital content accessible.
Experience with digitizing and storing video, audio, and other educational assets.
Experience with live webcasting.
Experience with applying copyright laws and educating clients on the proper use of copyrighted materials.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, including proper cable management practices.
Experience with editing tools such as Adobe Premiere
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Anticipated hiring range: $60,000-$65,000

About The Department
This position reports to the OIT Communication and Creative Services team. In addition to the video production and web casting services, this team provides communications resources within OIT (videos about OIT services, graphic design, management of OIT website content, electronic newsletters, and more). We have the unique opportunity to work with all groups in OIT to share new and changing technology with UT’s faculty, staff, and students.
Lecture Capture, Live Streaming, and Classroom Technologies
Manage and support projects related to webcasting and lecture capture.
Provides quality webcasting and streaming services for classes, meetings, and special events, including editing and packaging videos for appropriate hosting solution.
Coordinates with building reps and department admins to gather and refine event details.
Manages lecture capture software and equipment and provides resources and training to faculty.
Manages class catalogs, remote recorders connected to the application server, user permissions, and content management.
Research, test, and recommend new equipment related to DMS, video, and lecture and event capture.
Stay current on complex video editing, lecture capture, and event capture software.
Write and maintain documentation and procedures for events capture and streaming, and using audio and video equipment.
Monitors client requests through the OIT ticketing system, determines needs, recommends solutions, and troubleshoots issues.
Instructional Video Development
Collaborates and supports video producers on instructional video projects.
Edits video content using current video editing software
Serves as a video producer for OIT training videos and collaborates with team members in the planning, writing, and editing of training videos in support of technology-enhanced classrooms.
Supervises student staff in the production of training videos.
Works independently on small-to-medium-sized video and multimedia projects
Digital Media
Digitize content and media assets including text scanning, image scanning, audio digitization, video media hosting.
Support current back-end content management system storage solution.
