Macawber Engineering, Inc., an international manufacturer with over 40 years of business, is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk.

Candidates must have an energetic and pleasant personality coupled with administrative and communication skills, strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to work independently and in an organized manner.

Applicants must have inventory experience, be Microsoft Office proficient (e.g., Excel and email), preferably have ERP experience (e.g. controlling inventory and receiving part through a computer system), as well as technical aptitude with the ability to understand blueprints, weights and measurements. The position involves the use of a forklift and some heavy lifting (approx. 60 pounds).

Training will be provided.

Minimum education high school and a minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving including inventory control.

Position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Receives and issues parts and components through ERP (computer) system to work orders and sales orders.
  • Packs and ships parts and components
  • Participates in inventory control.
  • Maintains records and compiles stock reports, ensures organization.
  • Inspects materials and initiates NRCs.

Job Requirements

Experience with ERP System.

Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, e-mail, record keeping).

Ability to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure.

Understanding of blueprints, measurements, and weights.

Effective communication (verbal/written) skills.

Ability to prioritize and organizational skills.

Attention to detail.

Experience handling large number of small mechanical/electrical parts. E.g. manufacturing environment.

Licensed forklift operator.

We offer a competitive salary. 3 weeks of PTO for the first year increasing to 25 days after 10 years, 10 national holidays, excellent medical insurance for $15/pay period and other benefits. Working hours are 7:30 am-4:00 pm.
