Fulltime MCS Maintenance Worker

Job Description:

The maintenance worker will perform general maintenance and repair of equipment, buildings, and grounds in the Maryville City School System.

The position requires practical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills.

Work involves the following duties: expertise or experience in commercial plumbing, general knowledge of electricity, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors. Additional work may include, light carpentry skills, grounds maintenance, operation of machinery, and general interior and exterior building maintenance.

The position requires a high level of trustworthiness, integrity, and a willingness to learn new skills, both technical and interpersonal. We will expect satisfactory work references.

An acceptable TBI fingerprint background check and drug screen test are legal requirements for anyone to be employed by the school system.

Relevant previous experience will be factored into the pay grade.

Must be able to physically climb (ladders,) crawl, work in confined spaces, work on roofs/lifts, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be on call 1 week of every 7

Workday is from 7:00-3:30 with a 30-minute lunch break.

Almost all work takes place in Maryville (No travel requirements.)

Pay: From $17.55 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
