Position: Hybrid Full-time/Part-time Custodian

  • Details: Hybrid (Full-time/Part-time) Year round position with benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, vision and retirement (pension)
    • During School Year: 7 hours per day (197 days including 10 paid holidays)
    • During Breaks (Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer): 3 hours per day ( 63 days)
    • Flexible shifts

Work Related Experience, Skills, Abilities

  • Preferred- Successful maintenance/cleaning experience.
  • Preferred- Skills, abilities, experiences in light maintenance, inspections, and general cleaning.
  • The ideal candidate will have abilities to positively communicate, collaborate and work well with others.

Qualities of a Desired Candidate Include: A track record of success as evidenced by positive relationships, positive communications and strong recommendations from previous employers.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Past positive experience in leading and/or managing workers.
  • Must be a Day maker and a positive role model for students!
  • Must be positive, a self-starter and a hard worker!

Responsibilities:

  • General Cleaning- (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and other general cleaning)Administrative offices and areas, kitchen, storage closets, café dining areas, daily kitchen and dining garbage removal, etc.) Other areas as needed or directed throughout the school day to include conference rooms, bathrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
  • Stocking (Re-stock and re-order towels, hand soap, toilet tissue, trash liners, etc.)
  • Light maintenance- Changing light bulbs, moving furniture, unloading trucks, and other requests as needed by school administration.
  • Other duties as assigned by administration.
  • Ability to perform any physical duties associated with this position (e.g., lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, sitting for long periods of time, walking, seeing, standing for extended periods of time, etc.).

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
