Initial Position Requirements. Ability to install, terminate, repair, troubleshoot, or replace cabling, cameras, and DVR/NVR systems. Ability to install and terminate Category cable using proper tools. Ability to read test equipment to aid in troubleshooting connectivity issues. Ability to terminate fiber optic cable with a fusion splicer. Ability to neatly and efficiently dress network cabling in exposed areas. Ability to use certification equipment to verify proper installation of all cabling and connectors. Good knowledge of access controls including knowledge of relays, maglocks, 12/24-volt power systems and REX devices. Basic understanding of fire alarm systems including addressable and non-addressable devices. General understanding of electrical systems and how to utilize testing equipment, primarily for your personal safety. This is a Full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week but may be subject to the requirement of additional hours from time to time based on your workload.
