As a Retail Sales Associate at The Italian Apron, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while managing key retail tasks such as cashiering, inventory control, restocking, order processing, and handling phone inquiries. Additionally, you will provide light support for our artisanal baking and pasta-making operations as needed.

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance about our products.
• Answer customer inquiries in person and over the phone, including questions about product availability, special orders, and store policies.
• Take and process customer orders efficiently and accurately.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process transactions, and handle cash, credit, and mobile payments.
• Assist in recommending products based on customer preferences and needs.
• Resolve customer concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Retail Operations & Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate retail inventory records, assist with stock counts, and report discrepancies.
• Restock shelves regularly, ensuring products are properly displayed and rotated for freshness.
• Monitor product quality and expiration dates, discarding or reporting expired or damaged goods.
• Assist in receiving shipments, unpacking deliveries, and organizing stock in storage areas.
• Store Maintenance & Cleanliness
• Keep retail shelves, counters, and display areas clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Ensure the store floor, checkout area, and customer spaces remain tidy and free of clutter.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation guidelines.

Support for Artisanal Baking & Pasta-Making (as required)

• Assist with packaging and labeling freshly baked goods and handcrafted pasta.
• Provide light support in the baking and pasta-making process as needed.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and prep areas.
