Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Post Closer to join our growing team. The Post Closer is responsible for finalizing the closing process by auditing, assembling, disbursing, and delivering complete and accurate post-closing files. This role ensures compliance with lender, underwriter, and company requirements while maintaining an exceptional level of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review executed closing packages for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with lender and company requirements.
  • Scan, upload, and organize post-closing documents in the title production system.
  • Prepare and send final title policies and recorded documents to appropriate parties, including lenders and underwriters.
  • Follow up on missing or outstanding documents (e.g., recorded deeds, releases, lender instructions).
  • Communicate effectively with processors, closers, lenders, and underwriters to resolve discrepancies or address issues.
  • Perform post-closing audits and reconcile file checklists to ensure all documentation is collected and filed correctly.
  • Maintain accurate records for audit readiness and policy remittance.
  • Ensure timely remittance of policies and premiums to underwriters.
  • Assist with trailing documents, e-recording, and client follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or industry certifications a plus.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

  • Prior experience in title agency operations, preferably in a post-closing or related role.
  • Knowledge of title documents (CD, ALTA, deeds, mortgage, affidavits, etc.) and post-closing processes.
  • Familiarity with title software (e.g., SoftPro, ResWare, RamQuest) is preferred.
