Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a proven solution architect to lead and support a large Agency program's project portfolio and adopt Agile development methods to support the following objectives:

1. Deliver applications that support access by users and stakeholders to their information at any time through the development of web-based interfaces and account structures.

2. Improve user customer experience and address common customer service issues by reducing the need to use a call center, walk in office or other access methods that require a significant investment in the customer’s time.

3. Modernize the Agencies infrastructure to further establish and continuously improve a disciplined practice that increases delivery velocity, quality and job satisfaction, and reduction of cost and risk through the software development life cycle.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Experience in being the lead solution architect for a large federal agency in supporting a robust IT project portfolio of over $10M a year.
• Demonstrate expertise in taking the “as is” architecture and taking it to the “to be” architecture.
• Strong communicator.
• Ability to discover and capture the current state of the environment and put it into MS Visio. Also, then create the future “to be” architecture in MS Visio.
• Experience in Agile project management and delivery.
• Experience in being the technical lead of the Agile Team. Taking the initial requirements and driving them to a finished product using an Agencies Governance and Software Development Life Cycle.
• Lead and support Orientation Briefings, Kickoff Meetings, and Operational Readiness Reviews
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (required)
• Ability to travel to client site for meetings (seldom)
• Agile certification is a plus
• Microsoft Office Products experience to properly communicate and document the solution(s)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84000 to 186000
