Position Description:

The ideal candidate for this position is a problem solver. As a Business Analyst- Mid-level (Software) you will use your knowledge, skills, and abilities to solve organizational information challenges and will use your critical thinking skills to identify client requirements and translate those into detailed instructions for your development team to execute. The ideal Software Requirements Specialist also has strong writing and communication skills, ability to learn technical concepts, and can build relationships with both their team members and clients.

Due to the nature of the government contracts this position requires US Citizenship.

This role can be located at CGI offices in Fairfax, VA, Lafayette, LA and Knoxville, TN.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

-Gather, develop, document, and validate business, functional and technical requirements.
-Interact with client during Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions.
-Interact with advanced business analysts and solution developers to communicate and validate
-Perform functional and integrated testing.
-Prepare and maintain project documentation and artifacts including analysis, reports and user
-Works with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet
business requirements.
-Assists all phases of software systems programming applications.
-Evaluates new and existing software products.
-Author and prepare meeting minutes to be distributed to a variety of audiences
-Author user stories, test scripts, and other Agile deliverables

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

-Bachelor's degree, Computer Information Systems preferred
- 4 years’ work experience as an analyst on a software-focused team
-Knowledge of SDLC
-Functional analysis and strong writing skills.
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to work effectively within a team environment under tight timelines
-Ability to multi-task and support multiple projects at once
- Experience working with JIRA and Confluence

Desired qualifications:
Will accept candidates with a Master’s degree plus 1 year experience

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $53,100-$143,700
