Position Description:

CGI currently has openings for Mid level Software developers in our brand new Knoxville, TN location. This role will help service our clients in the financial sector and will need to have a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience.

Skills needed: Modern Java (8 or newer), Spring, Relational Databases, web-based UI frameworks, GoF & Spring design patterns, CI/CD (Jenkins), and specific proficiency in AWS.

We would like for this individual to serve as a mentor for our younger developers, so if you have a desire to help up & coming developers, this role could be exactly what you are looking for.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

· Lead small teams in hands-on capacity and mentor them
· Participate in design and implementation of software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
· Design, Develop and test highly scalable adaptable user interfaces
· Participate in design and code reviews
· Participate in CI/CD activities
· Understand the leadership vision and complete that vision
· Strengthen and promote the culture of innovation by setting the example for others
· Find creative ways to get things done optimally
· Foster a culture of outstanding software engineering practices
· Exercise your desire for keeping your knowledge up-to-date with the latest frameworks and concepts

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

6+ years of confirmed software development experience

5+ years validated development experience in frameworks such as Angular 8+, ReactJS, NodeJS, VueJS, Typescript

3+ years of hands-on experience in developing Web services

Proficient in Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Core, Spring boot is preferred.

Consultative Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills - written & oral as we communicate regularly to our clients both verbally and in email/chat.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Positive relationship skills.

Preferred qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field

This role must be located in Knoxville, TN.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80,000-$135,000.
