CGI has an immediate need for an AWS Python Developer to join our financial services team. Preferred locations are Columbia, SC; Lafayette, LA; Knoxville, TN; or Sterling, VA. We are searching for a strong Senior Java and Python Developer (AWS) with Production migration experience to work on real cloud migration expertise in a highly multifaceted and fast-paced Agile environment. This incumbent is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and evolving the cloud infrastructure of web applications. Our platform allows us to provide our clients with enterprise level mobile and web solutions. We are now looking for a self-motivated AWS Developer to lead the architecture and database design for our external data integration services.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Craft the architecture for migrating on-premise data warehouse and data marts to the data lake and subsequent vending on AWS Cloud.

Architect solutions for the design and implementation of Big & Fast Data Infrastructure on AWS cloud using Kafka, Glue, Athena, Redshift, DynamoDB.

Guide other teams to craft, develop, and deploy data sets and tools that support product use cases.​​

Very strong Python development experience where the candidate has worked on several features that is pushed to production (more than 5 years).

Spark knowledge and PySpark development experience (hands-on coding) which include deploying to EMR or Glue around 3+ years.

Working experience with Lambda, Step functions, SQS & SNS (minimum 2 year)
Hands on development experience using IDE (PyCharm, IntelliJ, Eclipse etc.)
5+ years, Good knowledge of ETL process.
Should have deployed his project to PROD and preferably done some PROD support

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

8+ years of experience in Python, lambda service and scripting.
5+ years of work experience with AWS code pipeline, AWS deployment automation, AWS Service Catalog.
4+ years of strong Python.
1-2 years of Experience/knowledge of AWS development.
2+ years of experience with Application integrations (SOAP/REST Web Services, ESB, JMS, File/Data transfers, etc.).
Develop AWS deployment automation services for various security related applications and tools.

Design, build, test, deploy and support deployment of tools in AWS.

Ability to write well designed, testable and efficient code.

Good communication and collaboration skills, teammate. Takes accountability/ownership for the work you're leading/result.

Familiar with GIT repositories (Bit Bucket) and Agile Methodology/SCRUM/Kanban

Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $77,200.00 - $185,800.00.
