Position Description:

CGI is looking for a skilled Test Engineer to join our team and ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our software products through comprehensive testing practices. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in the software development lifecycle by designing, implementing, and executing test strategies to validate the functionality and performance of our software products. You will be responsible for both manual and automated testing, building and running automated test suites, and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and
performance.
• Conduct manual testing to identify bugs, defects, and areas for improvement in the
software.
• Design and implement automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
• Execute and maintain automated test suites to ensure efficient and repeatable testing
processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify test requirements and provide feedback
on software design.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on test findings and defects.
• Participate in regression testing, integration testing, and performance testing activities.
• Identify areas for process improvement and optimization in the testing process.
• Stay updated on software testing best practices, methodologies, and industry trends.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior test engineers and team members on testing
concepts and practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, theories, and practices.
• 8-10 Years of experience in both manual and automated testing of software applications.
• Proficiency in building and running automated test suites using testing tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Familiarity with test management tools for test case management and execution.
• Ability to analyze requirements and design test strategies based on software specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Preferred certifications such as CSTE certification or other relevant test certifications.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Demonstrable experience in performance testing, load testing, and stress testing of software applications.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies and practices.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with version control systems like Git for test automation code.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $96,500.00 - $190,100.00.
