Position Description:

CGI ProSteward360 is an end-to-end solution that helps organizations of all sizes address hazard communication challenges by automating processes and operations while reducing costs. The solution helps product stewards meet global compliance obligations by digitizing harmonized processes across geographies and diverse product lines, resulting in improved data quality and consistency. Customizable workflows create sustainable processes to support compliance in new geographies, enabling product stewards to support opportunities in new markets.

CGI is seeking experienced and motivated professionals to provide end-to-end hazard communication, classification and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) authoring services to chemical manufacturers in support of global chemical regulatory compliance laws. Ability to work remotely but also to engage with other SDS authoring professionals on the CGI SDS authoring team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as SDS Author in the EH&S domain.

• This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S, and candidates must be willing to work in Eastern Time Zone hours.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• As part of the Regulatory Solutions Group, the candidate will provide hazard classification and global SDS authoring services to clients.
• The candidate should have experience in EH&S (Environment Health & Safety)including global chemical regulatory compliance, chemical hazard communication (e.g. Safety Data Sheet (SDS) authoring), and other related domains. Services can include but are not limited to:
• SDS Authoring
• Composition verification including vendor contact as needed
• Dangerous goods classification and/or verification
• Ability to work remotely but also to engage with other SDS authoring professionals on the CGI SDS authoring team.
• The candidate will also be responsible for fostering positive relationships with our client stakeholders, internal CGI stakeholders and local delivery teams.
• Responsible for providing status reports to managers and timely completion of scheduled tasks.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as SDS Author in the EH&S domain.
• Experience in preforming hazard classification, labeling and authoring Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) .
• Proficiency in the following chemical regulations: OSHA HazCom 2012 / TSCA (US), CLP / REACH (EU), WHMIS 2015 / HMIRA (Canada) and GHS.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, motivating attitude, Ability to work within a technical team,
• Attention to detail, Work under pressure and meet deadlines, Ability to learn new concepts quickly, Critical thinking ability.
• Computer skills – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint are required.
• Bachelor's Degree in physical or biological sciences (chemistry, environmental sciences, toxicology, industrial hygiene, etc.)


*CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $49,400 - $89,700.
