Sr. Retail Banking Business Analyst / Lead

Position Description:
The CGI Financial Services – Consumer team is looking for a Sr. Retail Banking Business Analyst Lead who has a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the loan origination area within a financial services company, in lending technology and business processes. This position requires functional industry knowledge and expertise in the originations ecosystem, including common business practices, practical application of core originations concepts, understanding of regulations and compliance.
The Sr. Retail Banking Business Analyst Lead will also provide guidance and support for the product direction and contribute to the prioritization of the Originations’ functionality, including working with a global delivery team leveraging Agile Best Practices. Responsibilities include designing, documenting, and implementing a product roadmap and client enhancements to an enterprise web application. The Business Analyst Lead will participate in evaluating business features to determine the best approach for meeting the acceptance criteria within the existing application. The business analyst will be involved in backlog refinement, planning of sprints, sprint reviews/demos and meeting software compliance standards.
This is a remote role but Knoxville, TN is the preferred location.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Originations system implementations.
• Work in a cross-functional SAFE environment, interacting daily with other team members.
• Advise architects and communicate with project stakeholders.
• Work in a cross-functional scrum team, interact daily with other team members.
• Assist with writing user stories using SMART acceptance criteria.
• Support testing activities including test preparation, ensuring test cases and scripts cover all requirements and design specifications.
• Proactively brings issues and problems to the attention of the team, generating, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to solve them.
• Log defects, testing/retesting defects, tracking progress and results and reporting status to the scrum master.
• Update product documentation for new or existing functionality.
• Up to 50% Travel
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 10+ years in the financial industry.
• 10+ years of direct operational experience in consumer Originations lending (financial or technology company experience preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills- - including ability to orchestrate client needs into written business features to be consumed by the development team.
• Experience solving complex business needs through creating simplistic consumable processes with a transformation view.
• Facilitation skills, including leading meetings, presentation skills, problem resolution/mediation.
• High degree of responsiveness and ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
• Ability to work with virtual teams spanning time zones across the country and in India
• Ability to translate technical content into business language for internal and external clients.
• Creative approach to designing business solutions with configuration and long-term technology impact considerations.
• Exceptional people skills and ability to navigate a matrixed work environment.
• Ability to educate and foster support for new ideas and approaches.
• Proficient in gathering requirements and working with Product Owners, Architects and Product Management.
• Facilitation skills, including leading meetings, presentation skills, problem resolution/mediation.
• High degree of responsiveness and ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,000-$150,200.”
