Position Description:
CGI is looking for a skilled Lead Developer familiar with Microsoft technology stack to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and deploying modernized IT solutions for complex applications using Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and efficient cloud services.

This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S, preferred location is Fairfax, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Design and manage the end-to-end architecture of solutions, ensuring successful integration of all interfacing components.
• Develop and modernize complex applications using Azure platform.
• Utilize Federal guidelines and approved architecture and technologies, including Angular, Java, Microservices, PostgreSQL, Tom EE, etc.
• Lead the full software lifecycle development process, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance adhering to Federal policies, security, and accessibility guidelines.
• Successfully deliver software solutions using Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience in more than three (3) successful projects.
• Provide expert knowledge of databases and related tools and utilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and support.
• Design scalable, reliable, and secure solutions using Azure services like App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Storage.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated deployment and testing.
• Monitor application performance and optimize for scalability and cost-efficiency using Azure services.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure best practices in cloud architecture
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 10+ years of experience in developing and modernizing IT solutions for complex applications dealing with financial transactions.
• Proven experience in designing and managing the end-to-end architecture of solutions, ensuring successful integration of all components.
• Significant experience with approved architecture and technologies (e.g., Angular, Java, Microservices, PostgreSQL, Tom EE, etc.).
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS).
• Experience in developing and deploying solutions that follow Federal compliant architecture, security compliance, ATO process, FISMA guidelines, and Accessibility requirements
• Strong hands-on experience in full software lifecycle development methodologies.
• Successful delivery of more than three (3) software solutions using Agile methodologies.
• Recent experience developing in Microsoft Azure.
• Strong experience with Azure services like App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Storage
• Expert knowledge of databases and related tools and utilities - including SQL and No-SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Experience in the Federal financial services.
• Microservices architecture
• Server less computing
• Agile development methodologies
• Azure certifications: Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Experience working with GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES)
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $99,200.00 - $219,600.00.
