Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to support the development of an in-house software solution. The Full Stack Developer will work on both the front-end and back-end components of the system, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
This role can be performed remote; Houston is preferred since some travel to Houston site maybe expected.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the on-site Power Plant Controller (PPC) and cloud-based EMS.
• Implement communication protocols such as OPC and MQTT for site and cloud integration.
• Design and develop user interfaces for monitoring and controlling battery operations.
• Integrate third-party optimizers and schedulers like CPLAX and GAMS.
• Develop APIs or integrations for data exchange between the PPC, EMS, and market access systems.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of the system.
• Perform regular code reviews and testing to ensure quality and performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in full stack development.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
• Strong knowledge of back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, and databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Linux-based systems and controllers.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as OPC and MQTT.
• Strong understanding of API development and integration.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with energy management systems or similar applications.
• Knowledge of optimization algorithms and tools such as GAMS and CPLEX.
• Familiarity with DNP3 integration and market access systems.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80,000.00 - $150,000.00.
