Jira Application Administrator

Position Description:
Our team is growing. We are seeking a skilled Jira Administrator to manage and enhance an Atlassian Jira Environment for a regional utilities client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring workflows, maintaining system integrity, supporting users, teaching users best practices, and ensuring Jira aligns with business processes across several teams.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• System Administration: Manage Jira user accounts, permissions, and roles. Maintain and upgrade Jira software and plugins. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Configuration & Customization: Design and implement custom workflows, screens, fields, and issue types. Work with users to create dashboards, filters, and reports.
Process Optimization:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project tracking needs.
• Translate business requirements into Jira configurations.
• Ensure Jira supports Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
• Support & Training: Provide end-user support and training. Help users solve problems within the existing implementation Document best practices and usage guidelines. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Proven experience as a Jira Administrator.
• An understanding of the Atlassian suite of products such as Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Jira Work Management, and Confluence.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Groovy and JQL.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience teaching end-users’ best practices around Jira implementations.
Ability to create and manage custom workflows, issue types, screens, and field configurations.
This position can be located anywhere in the US in a hybrid working environment.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $61,900.00 - $137,100.00.
