Position Description:

We're seeking a proactive and detail-driven Atlassian Administrator to join our CGI Team!

You will manage, optimize, and support our suite of Atlassian tools—including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Atlassian Analytics, Atlassian Focus, and Jira Product Discovery.

This role also includes supporting external clients in configuring and maintaining their Atlassian environments and ensuring seamless integration and connectivity across the entire Atlassian ecosystem for a specific implementation.

This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

How you'll make an impact


. Administer and maintain Atlassian applications (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Atlassian Analytics, Atlassian Focus, Jira Product Discovery)

. Design and implement custom workflows, permission schemes, dashboards, and advanced automation rules to streamline operations

. Configure and optimize Jira Service Management for project intake

. Build and maintain insightful reports and visualizations using Atlassian Analytics, including managing the integration of external system data

. Support product teams in capturing, prioritizing, and tracking ideas through Jira Product Discovery, creating custom views and roadmaps in support of client needs

. Leverage Atlassian Focus to align team priorities and improve cross-functional visibility

. Manage and maintain connections between Atlassian tools, ensuring data consistency, workflow continuity, and optimal integration across platforms

. Provide expert guidance and hands-on support to our client in managing their Atlassian tools, including onboarding, configuration, troubleshooting, and best practices

. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Atlassian solutions

. Integrate Atlassian tools with third-party applications as required

. Develop and deliver training, documentation, and ongoing support for both internal users and client teams

. Stay current with Atlassian product updates, automation capabilities, and industry best practice

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

What you'll bring


. 5+ years of Systems Administrator experience

. 3+ years of proven experience administering Atlassian tools in a mid-to-large scale or client-facing environment

. Strong understanding of Jira workflows, custom fields, issue types, and schemes

. Experience creating and managing Jira automation rules using conditions, branches, and smart values

. Hands-on experience with Jira Service Management and ITSM practices

. Familiarity with Confluence space management and macros

. Experience with Atlassian Analytics for data visualization and reporting

. Understanding of Jira Product Discovery for product ideation and prioritization

. Knowledge of Atlassian Focus and its role in team alignment

. Experience managing tool-to-tool connectivity within the Atlassian ecosystem

. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

. Experience with REST APIs and scripting (e.g., Groovy, Python, or Bash)

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills:

. Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator or equivalent certification

. Experience with Atlassian Cloud and Data Center environments

. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product management workflows

. Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning


Other Information:
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78,400.00 - $173,500.00.
