Position Summary:
Campus Operations seeks a Ground Technician to upkeep the landscaping of Clayton Homes Corporate Campus which includes Clayton Road, The Lodge, Clayton Bradley Academy, and the Cottage. The Grounds Technician is primarily responsible for safety, productivity, and attention to detail as it relates to the properties.
Responsibilities:
Operates mowers, vehicles, and all equipment associated with grounds and landscaping activities. Communicates any issues with the supervisor.
Maintains existing plant health and rotation, implementing new areas as required or requested.
Seasonal leaf and snow removal. Annual preventive maintenance for parking lots, painted lines, and signage.
Sets up for regular and special events and moves furniture or equipment as needed.
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
High School Diploma / GED
1 year experience related experience
Valid Driver’s License
Knowledge of operating all mowers and machinery.
Routinely lifting 50 lbs.+ , Working in inclement weather, and able to handle a variety of different physical demands such as bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
