High Level Position Description
The Business Continuity Analyst (BCA) role serves as a functional and technical liaison supporting business units and the technology team maturing the Clayton Business Continuity Planning (BCP) program.
The BCA will work with business unit teams to drive the creation of playbooks and runbooks that document BCP processes and recovery options for specific business critical functions. Additionally, this role will be responsible for organizing and leading periodic tabletop exercises (TTX) with each business unit practicing recovery scenarios that demonstrate the current level of response maturity and identifying areas of additional opportunity via After Action Reports.
This is mostly a business unit facing role, requiring excellent soft skills plus significant technical and analytical understanding of BCP practices, infrastructure, and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of BCP and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) documents including but not limited to policies, standards, and procedures.
- Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of BCP supporting documents to include BIA, playbooks, and runbooks that address scenarios like alternate site, pandemic, and emergency operations.
- Support the development and delivery of training for BCP stakeholders.
- Design and lead BCP TTX for all Clayton Homes business units
- Update BCP documentation and gain business unit sign off, while incorporating tabletop exercise testing results and other business unit information.
- Support both internal and external audits of the Clayton BCP program
- Project management (planning, coordination, status reporting, etc.) related to BCP initiatives
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of BCP (Business Continuity Planning) experience required
- Project coordination or management background with the ability to manage deliverables, work with multiple applications teams and business units.
- Experience with Jira, Fusion Risk Management and ServiceNow.
- Working knowledge of Cyber Security and technology Infrastructure
- Cyber Resiliency Experience
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Organization and time management skills
- Ability to review third-party documentation for potential BCP gaps or impacts to line of business recovery requirements.
- Support internal and external audits of the BCP process
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical and business experience
- Some travel to remote facilities will be required
Desired Skills:
- Ability to develop processes as well as facilitate and coordinate work activities of other team members effectively.
- Background in performing analysis, administration, documentation, troubleshooting, testing, software, and data environment refreshes preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members across a variety of business units, including executives, managers, technology professionals, subject matter experts, and end users.
- Proven ability to facilitate requirement workshops / training sessions with large groups of business users and leadership.
- Strong ability to work effectively within time constraints, changing priorities, and independently.
- Experience with Manufacturing, Retail and Finance facility environments
- Experience with SaaS and Cloud based platforms
- Experience working in a complex, vertically integrated organization
