Lodge Host Summer Experience

Position Summary:

The Lodge is seeking a friendly, energetic, and flexible individual to assist our Lodge staff at Clayton! This individual will work with the Events Manager, Guest Services Manager, and Facilities manager to assist in various projects and events throughout a 12-week period.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Assist guest Services with Check ins, rooming lists, making keys for individuals, sending confirmation letters to guests, acting as a resident “DJ,” checking bathrooms for cleanliness, etc.
  • Assist with onsite cabins including monitoring people checking in and out and overall cleanliness.
  • Support lodge staff in Clayton’s overall sustainability efforts.
  • Assist facilities with onsite cabin clean up, running a leaf blower (10-15 lbs.), using a web getter to swipe Spider webs, wiping down tables and furniture, clearing walkways, walking the pavilion & beer garden to ensure upkeep, etc.
  • Report issues around the property and collaborating with facilities on best practices.
  • Assist the Lodge events staff with food and beverage including but not limited to: being able to do dishes, set up /breakdown food, assisting with water stations, placing out snacks, set up and breakdown bar areas, being present when groups are in, setting up meeting spaces appropriately, etc.
  • Available to work various shifts such as: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. or 11:00 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Be able to lift < 50 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Junior, Senior or Graduate student ideal.
  • Positive attitude.
  • High sense of urgency.
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects on different timelines.
  • Follow-through skills and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to consistently go above and beyond with outside-the-box thinking.
