Position Summary:

Clayton offers a multitude of different opportunities through our Summer Internship Program. The Clayton Summer Internship Program challenges students to think critically and analytically within their field of study while allowing them direct, hands-on working experience.

Internship Program Details:

  • Internships are paid, full-time, hourly positions.

  • Exact internship dates to be announced, but typically run 12 weeks from late May through early August.

  • Internships include several professional development workshops and opportunities for networking with other interns across Clayton's various lines of business.

  • Interns will facilitate a presentation to Clayton Senior Leadership ahead of program completion.

What you will do:

  • Assist in creating a mental health training for our Home Building Facilities, to include:

    • Survey development for internal customers including the Team Member Experience and Environmental Health & Safety teams

    • Organizing survey data

    • Research and create a mobile unit crisis resource

    • Research pre-crisis mode topic: defining the topic, identifying specific training subjects within the topic

    • Assist with creation of training materials – PowerPoints, handouts, and other resources

  • Assist the Clayton Wellbeing team in identifying improvements for process development and management

  • Assist with developing and creating materials and communications for additional Wellbeing initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned

What skills you will learn or develop:

  • Corporate wellbeing program experience

  • An understanding of barriers to mental wellbeing in rural populations

  • Marketing and communications

  • Process development and management

Qualifications:

  • Must be a junior, senior, or recent graduate of a degree program in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Public Health, or other related field.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Excel and Canva.

  • Strong positive attitude & demeanor, initiative, motivation, and strong organization skills greatly desired.
