Position Summary: The Home Building Intermediate Accountant will be responsible for key accounting tasks for assigned home building facilities.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Maintain the general ledger.
- Weekly and Monthly reporting.
- Month-end close activities.
- Analysis of financials.
- Maintain fixed asset reporting.
- Oversight of A/R and A/P.
- Additional support / special projects as needed for assigned locations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s (4 year) degree in Accounting or Finance. Additional education a plus.
- 2+ years' prior experience in related field.
- Ability to travel to various Home Building Locations, as needed.
- Must be quality minded, detail oriented, ability to multitask, and have good organizational skills.
- Must be able to solve complex problems, analyze and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and management.
- Must continuously use the highest level of personal integrity and business ethics. Faithfully executes all applicable regulations of local, state and federal authorities.
- Great Attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills.
- Must have intermediate to advanced excel skills with a working knowledge of Word and Access.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
- Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
- Constantly works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment.
- Work primarily involves sitting / standing.
