Position Summary

The Functional Analyst role serves as a technical expert on the Salesforce platform, driving enhancements, support, and delivery of new features for the Clayton Technology Team. This position demands a strong background and knowledge in the configuration and impacts of changing, adding, or removing configurations on the Salesforce platform. The Functional Analyst will coordinate and interact with internal Tech development and shared services teams, vendors, portfolio teams, and architecture teams to ensure requirements are understood and capable of being implemented. This is a technical role requiring strong analytical skills and a willingness to conduct thorough what-if analysis and testing. This position will also be responsible for coordinating data validations on integrations and data conversions.

About The Team

The Vantage Team operates at the nexus of Clayton Homes’ core business, serving its Home Building Group, Retail and Financing business units. The Vantage team configures, customizes, and integrates Salesforce to enable Clayton Homes’ business units to accelerate growth.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about our customers, be able to translate technical details from a product vision, think critically to solve problems, own their solutions, and thrive in a fast paced, fun, and challenging work environment. They will have excellent communication skills and excel in working in a team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Migration of configurations and other applicable objects from one environment to another

  • Managing and reviewing vendor supplied patching and new or updated features

  • Working with vendor support

  • Work alongside implementation partners

Desired Skills

  • Background in performing analysis, administration, documentation, troubleshooting, testing, software, and data environment refreshes preferred but not required.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including executives, managers, end users across a variety of business unites, Technology professionals, and subject matter experts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong ability to work effectively within time constraints, changing priorities, and independently.

  • Ability to provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem-solving techniques including the ability to find root cause and corrective action for given problems.
