Summary:

The Senior Benefits Operations Analyst will be the lead for operational projects and processes for the Benefits Team. This role will analyze information to find issues and solutions, be able to organize and manage information to enable technical and/or business decisions and serve as the lead for process improvements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains data integrity by developing processes to audit, analyze, detect, and resolve potential issues.

  • Works independently leading projects of moderate complexity and serves as the lead Benefits subject matter expert on cross functional projects.

  • Provide indirect leadership to members of the Benefits team – particularly on projects and in support of daily operations.

  • Ability to analyze information to find patterns, insights, and problems.

  • Able to organize and articulate information to enable technical and/or business decisions.

  • Leads the design, deployment, and administration of operational processes for Benefits.

  • Develop Benefit reports in Workday HCM to support audits, operational improvements, data quality, compliance, and other requirements.

  • Responsible for leading initiatives that improve Benefit administration from technical and process perspectives.

  • Partner with technical teams to prioritize Benefit projects.

  • Partner with internal teams, such as HRIS, to develop technical and operational solutions.

  • Analyze needed HRIS system updates and develop solutions.

  • Partner with vendors when updates are needed and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Determine processes for on-demand vendor updates.

  • Serve as lead for Benefit projects such as affordable care act filing, compliance, Workday releases, audits, vendor changes, etc.

  • Lead project status meetings, provide clear and concise updates to leadership, develop solutions, and maintain project tracking system.

  • Set deadlines, deliverables, and determine roadblocks.

  • Obtain stakeholder feedback from business unit leaders, as necessary.

  • Manage partnership with internal teams, such as HRIS, through project completion.

  • Lead communication efforts to leaders and Team Members, when needed, related to a project.

  • Support Benefit vendor RFPs, as requested by leadership

  • Develop and maintain process documentation and policies for knowledge transfer and training purposes.

  • Lead process, when needed, to retrieve historical data from legacy vendors and develop process to utilize data.

  • Manage compliance records and procedures, as defined by leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Prior experience in a Benefits related field

  • Workday experience highly preferred

  • Experienced lead of projects and processes

  • Problem solving skills providing the ability to be productive and creative through analysis, communication, adaptability, and teamwork with different groups

  • Attention to detail, able to grasp fine details to understand impact

  • Knowledge of human resources/benefits policies and procedures

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution

  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems with critical and strategic thinking

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required; advanced Excel skills

  • Consultative approach and excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with business unit leaders, cross-functional partners, and external resources

  • Excellent customer service skills. Able to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude
