JOB DESCRIPTION:
The ideal candidate for this role will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. The Kitchen Support /Dishwasher role contributes to the overall daily kitchen operations. This role is a vital part of the kitchen team. They will play a key part in ware washing, stewarding, stocking and organization to ensure efficiency. This position has the opportunity for upward growth through the kitchen.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for ware-washing.
Ensures all wares are polished and stored to meet our high standards.
Roll silverware, fold napkins, and bus tables when needed.
Monitor and report equipment maintenance issues.
Ensures daily and weekly cleaning schedules are met.
Maintains cleanliness, sanitation and organization of kitchen, safe food handling practice.
Consolidation and rotation of prepared products to assure prolonged usefulness and quality.
Performs stewarding tasks such as receiving, stocking, and tracking inventory to meet established food safety standards.
Assist Chefs with food prep tasks as assigned.
Setup buffets and beverage service stations.
Restocking and refreshing stations as needed.
Assist with kitchen production and meals.
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma
1 year in professional food service operation
Must be able to obtain food safety certification within the first 90 days. Employer will provide.
Works well in a fast-paced environment.
Detail oriented.
High energy and positive attitude.
Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and equipment.
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Standing for long periods of time.
Works well in team environment.
