Brand & Vendor Management Strategist

Summary:

This role plays a crucial role in managing relationships with specific vendors, serving as the organization's initial point of contact. This position involves researching, analyzing, and evaluating vendors and their products to ensure effective vendor performance, pricing and compliance for marketing print projects. This role will collaborate with the Vendor Management team to onboard vendors appropriately and manage contract execution as well as liaison between vendors and internal marketing stakeholders to manage print projects and monitor for branding compliance. This team member will lead the development and refinement of the print vendor management process for each business unit.

Job duties & responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for specific vendors, managing relationships effectively.

  • Serve as the liaison between vendors and internal marketing stakeholders for print projects.

  • Provide support for any issues related to vendor products and services.

  • Work with potential vendor partners to negotiate NDAs and MSAs.

  • Develop and refine the Marketing Print Vendor Procurement and management process to support each business unit.

  • Research, analyze, and evaluate vendors, services and products to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with the Vendor Management team to onboard new vendors and ensure the proper documentation is in place.

    • Lead contract administration support, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.

    • Negotiate NDAs and MSAs with potential vendor partners.

    • Update and maintain records as modifications to contracts are executed.

    • Provide contract advice and guidance to business units, security, etc., as needed.

    • Analyze customer requirements, assess risks, and recommend appropriate contract types and methods.

    • Work with team members and 3rd parties on contracts.

    • Manage vendor agreements, contract signings, renewals and terminations.

    • Lead contract administration support, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.

    • Build and Manage the ClaytonHub vendor portal page (“The Clayton Store”) to ensure approved vendors and products are made available to Team Members through the intranet site.

    • Manage requests and orders made through this site to ensure effective vendor performance, pricing and compliance.

    • Project manage print project timelines between internal teams and vendors.

    • Monitor print projects for branding compliance and review for consistency.

    • Financial analysis of projects including tracking spending, cost reduction opportunities, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years of Contract Administration and Management experience.

  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) preferred

  • In-depth knowledge of contractual agreements, vendor negotiations, and performance metrics.

  • Skill in analyzing vendor spending data, industry trends, and market conditions to achieve optimal pricing and service levels.

  • Ability to manage multiple major vendor relationships and contracts simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills to liaise with vendors, internal stakeholders, and legal teams.

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • High attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

  • Proficient in MS Office suite and contract management software.
