JOB SUMMARY

Our training developer serves as an instructional design professional and participates in the learning design process. This role is responsible for the analysis, design, development, curation and evaluation of learning interventions and materials. The learning solutions may cover a variety of subjects/priorities, including but not limited to, on-boarding, leadership and professional development, compliance, service and sales, job/department specific requirements, product and services, and systems. This role will incorporate sound principles of instructional design, adult learning theory and methodologies, and learning technologies.

Instructional Design and Development

  • Apply instructional design models and methodologies to create effective, learner-centered solutions across multiple formats (eLearning, blended learning, classroom, workshops, and conferences).
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments with stakeholders to ensure learning solutions align with business objectives and performance goals.
  • Create engaging learning experiences, including interactive scenarios, self-assessments, simulations, and multimedia elements that enhance learner engagement.
  • Develop instructional design documents, storyboards, and prototypes to guide stakeholders through the design process, ensuring alignment at every phase.
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop relevant, high-quality content tailored to diverse audiences and organizational needs.

Workshop and Conference Design

  • Assist in the design and development of dynamic workshops and conference sessions.
  • Utilize a mix of interactive activities, group discussions, case studies, and hands-on learning to create impactful face-to-face and virtual events.
  • Partner with event planners and key stakeholders to align conference content with strategic goals and participant needs.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of instructional design principles into large-scale learning events, making them both informative and highly engaging.

Graphic Design and Development

  • Enhance learning solutions with high-quality graphics and visual designs, working with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Lead the creation of compelling visual elements for presentations, eLearning courses, and print materials that elevate the learner’s experience.
  • Stay current with design best practices and tools, ensuring all materials are visually impactful and align with branding guidelines.

Approx. % of Time Performing Duty: 15%

Project Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of instructional design projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams, aligning resources, timelines, and deliverables to meet the goals of each project.
  • Regularly communicate project status and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders, identifying opportunities to enhance training impact.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Certifications:

  • Certification in Training Design and Delivery
  • Certification in eLearning Development
  • Associate Professional in Talent Development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field

Years of Related Experience:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in curriculum and instructional design and development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Thorough knowledge of instructional design models and processes, such as ADDIE and SAM.
  • General knowledge of needs assessment techniques to identify learning objectives and performance gaps.
  • Thorough skill in designing and developing a variety of learning assets, including role plays, self-assessments, training manuals, job aids, and visual aids aligned to learning or behavioral outcomes.
  • Proficient skill in graphic design and creating visual learning materials, such as storyboards, mock-ups, presentations, and digital communications using design software.
  • General knowledge of e-learning software, authoring tools, and learning technologies, such as learning management systems (LMS) and collaborative learning platforms.
  • General knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling, planning, and reporting to manage instructional design projects.
