Title: Project Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Corporate Marketing Project Coordinator provides project management support to the Project Specialists and Project Manager in Corporate Marketing. This role focuses on tracking project progress, milestones, and tasks for their assigned area within Corporate Marketing. The Project Coordinator interacts with the Project Management Team, other Corporate Marketing teams, and stakeholders as their role on the team dictates. The Project Coordinator will be working to meet tight deadlines and responsible for flagging next steps on projects and notifying the team via the project management system and other communication methods to help ensure successful completion of the project.

Primary Functions:

  • Coordinates project process for assigned areas (e.g., Creative, Public Relations & Communications) within Corporate Marketing as assigned by Project Manager; projects assignments are of limited complexity and smaller in size and scale.
  • Handles portions of larger scale projects in support of the Project Coordinators and/or Project Manager.
  • Uses and maintains the project management system, as well as consistently learning about solutions that will improve project planning across the entire department.
  • Documents and follows up on tasks and milestones from meetings.
  • Organizes and inputs new projects, tasks, and milestones in the project management system as directed by Project Coordinator or Project Manager.
  • Stays up to date on project process best practices.
  • Provides administrative and logistical support including meeting arrangement, progress tracking, and documentation.
  • Presents information related to assigned piece of project as requested by Project Coordinators or Project Manager.
  • Helps with preparation for meetings with teams across the company and with third parties.
  • Provides insight and suggestions on improvements to process or methods after project completion.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all aspects of the Digital Marketing Department; learn keys metrics defining success (e.g., meeting milestones, tasks completion, cost, satisfaction) from senior team members and help achieve them.
  • Provides support for projects such as note taking, communication follow-ups, and a sense of urgency.
  • Communicates frequently with fellow team members to answer project questions, review next steps, and confirm.
  • Analyzes and reports on project performance upon completion and on a monthly basis for the assigned portion of the project or assigned group (e.g., Communications).
  • Compiles information for reports and read outs.
  • Reviews allocation for business units and applies knowledge of effort and capacity for assigned piece of project.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. Degree in Marketing/Business preferred.
  • Minimum 0-2 years of related experience; 1-2 years of related experience preferred; marketing experience preferred.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Requires top notch communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to consult and collaborate with stakeholders and teams.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-starter, willing to learn, hard-working, determined and assertive.
  • Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy, and a clear, courteous, and professional manner when dealing with internal departments.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
