Paid Media Supervisor Position Summary
The Paid Media Team Lead is a digital marketing role that specializes in digital advertising tactics and channels with a goal of converting marketing leads into sales leads and sales leads into customers. The Paid Media Team Lead is the Digital Marketing team’s channel owner for brand awareness and lead generating ad strategies, tactics, and goals. The Paid Media Team Lead manages the paid media team and is committed to building and growing the team. This role will lead as the subject matter expert on the most effective strategies as well as understanding new and developing verticals for digital Paid Media.
Paid Media Supervisor Core Functions
- Lead Paid Media Team in development, training, strategy, and productivity across all forms of paid media (PPC, Social, Video, Display, CTV).
- Partner with project management team on the execution of paid media projects, campaigns, and for website and asset amplification.
- Responsible for the leadership, coaching, and professional development of the Paid Media team.
- Understand business goals and customers, perform research, analyze trends, identify key strategic challenges and opportunities, define communications and digital needs to be addressed; evaluate the scope and strategic implications.
- Lead the ideation and formation of digital marketing strategies.
- Utilizing an omni-channel approach for campaigns and marketing roadmaps to provide data driven strategic touchpoints across all aspects of the customer journey.
- Understand how to employ an enterprise level paid media strategy and deliver creative solutions based on a business goal.
- Work with the analytics team to monitor, analyze and report on campaign results and make recommendations on how to adapt strategies and tactics based on data, and continually refine our process to convert customers.
- Monthly monitor presentations, deliverables, strategy documents, tactical roadmaps, content calendars, and present to business unit stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Paid Media Supervisor Qualifications
- 4-year degree required in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5-7 years of related experience required; 3-5 years’ prior experience leading teams strongly preferred.
- A proven ability to leverage audience insights, digital trends, customer behavior, analytics data, competitive audits, and asset/experience evaluations to inform the marketing approach.
- Ability to take the lead in developing insights-driven pitches, reports, proposals, multichannel campaign strategies and tactical plans that satisfy business goals.
- Passion for evolving technologies and innovation, and the drive to create strategies and tactics that engage targeted customers in meaningful ways.
- Immersion in current best practices across all digital channels and media formats
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills—the ability to work with others as well as the confidence and skill to communicate ideas independently.
- Excellent communication skills among peers and across disciplines.
- A great attitude and a passion for rapidly building expertise in new businesses and industry verticals.
- Experience with large databases of 100,000+ contacts.
- Experience running enterprise level digital marketing campaigns (+2MM or more in ad spend) across multiple channels and vendors.
