Position Summary: The Purchasing Specialist works with the centralized Procurement Team. The purpose of the position is to create, maintain, and analyze purchasing data for our manufacturing locations operating on our Oracle ERP system. The Purchasing Specialist will perform other administrative duties as needed based on the needs of the team.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain purchasing data within our Oracle ERP system.
• Provide daily support to ~60 manufacturing locations.
• Evaluate supplier spend and provide monthly reports to the Sourcing Manager.
• Perform analysis of suppliers based on metrics which include invoice, quality, and delivery performance to provide risks and opportunities to Sourcing Managers and/or Material Planners.
• Keep track of expiring pricing and/or contracts and price changes.
• Maintain supplier quotes on SharePoint site.
• Resolve issues with Purchase and ComData Cards such as but not limited a declined card, fraud referrals, payment issues, etc.
• Process new Purchase and ComData Cards, and user requests.
• Maintain Purchase and ComData Card contacts, hard copies of accounts, card numbers, PASS, and account access.
• Review past due and low hold accounts on ComData Cards.
• Perform Purchase and ComData Card new user training monthly.
• Grow long-term working relationships with Sourcing Managers, Material Planners, Accounting, Cost Analysts and Card users in the field.
• Provides administrative and clerical support to the department.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years relatable experience including functional knowledge Supply Chain.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related area preferred.
• Self-starter that can work effectively within time constraints and changing priorities.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently once tasks are assigned.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Oracle and/or ERP experience is a plus.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
• Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
• Constantly works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment.
• Work primarily involves sitting / standing.
