Lodge Host Position Summary:

The Lodge Host is responsible for cultivating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for Lodge guests by providing world class customer service. Working as part of a team and independently, the Lodge Host creates a stress-free environment for guests and facilitators that visit the Lodge.

Lodge Host Qualifications:

• Guest Service or in-person customer service experience
• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years related Guest Service or Hospitality experience required
• Problem-solving skills required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Friendly, welcoming, and professional disposition required
• Basic phone and computer skills required
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and/or requests to accommodate guests
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to work with minimal direction
• Self-starter
• Team player

Lodge Host Duties / Responsibilities:

• Assist Events Team with setup, day-of event needs and tasks and cleanup.
• Responsible for accommodating all guests during PM events while circulating the room, anticipating needs and observing and communicating areas of opportunity to improve the event experience.
• Assists with event transportation when needed.
• Communicate any important group information for the opening team to be aware of.
• Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, directing them to appropriate areas upon arrival, and answering or referring inquiries to the appropriate team member.
• Maintains safety and security by following Lodge policies, monitoring visitor/vendor log, issuing visitor badges and keys.
• Assist guests with any last-minute request or desires to make their visit more enjoyable.
• Keeps track of Lodge vehicle keys and assists with guest check-ins and check-outs.
• Provide live assistance to guests and log updates using software like Monscierge and Opera
• Assist with maintaining organization of all storage closets.
• Assist with closing procedures to ensure the Lodge is locked and TV/heaters/fireplace are off after events.
• Perform daily mail checks and guide Lodge Tours on occasion.
• Maintain inventory sheet of all event supplies.
• Provide support for any off-site events that The Lodge participates in such as the annual golf tournament fundraiser, Team Building, volunteer activities, campus-wide events, etc.
• Assist with special project requests.
• Attend weekly Team Rally meetings.
• Other duties as assigned

Lodge Host Physical Demands:

• Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
• Ability to lift 20+lbs
• Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
• Primarily works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment.
• Work primarily involves sitting / standing.
