Mobility Profile: Hybrid

Duration: May 2025 – August 2025, exact dates to be determined. This role has the potential to convert to a part-time HR Coordinator role after the Summer Experience program has concluded.

Compensation: $22.00 per hour, paid weekly

Position Summary:

In the HR Coordinator Summer Experience role, you’ll get hands-on experience across multiple areas of Human Resources—from performing routine HR functions to supporting big-picture, people-focused strategic initiatives. You’ll work directly with our HR professionals to bring real value to nearly 400 Team Members and Leaders, all while helping drive initiatives that reflect who we are and where we’re headed. Primary Functions:

Core HR

  • Facilitate an exceptional onboarding experience for new hires to include:
    • Completing pre-screening such as background checks and drug screenings
    • Completing additional required on-boarding items such as I-9s, policy & procedure acknowledgments, etc.
    • Providing a tour of the Clayton campus
    • Facilitating the orientation presentation, ensuring Team Members are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to start their journeys with Clayton
    • Providing swag and assisting with computer / equipment setup
  • Execute routine core HR transactions such as:
    • Data corrections / adjustments
    • Transfers / reporting structure changes
    • Other routine staffing transactions as needed
  • Execute Voluntary Termination activities including:
    • Collecting appropriate documentation
    • Scheduling separation meetings with departing Team Members
    • Collecting company-issued equipment according to established separation policies
    • Providing the Team Member with separation information and answering questions
  • Support employee engagement efforts in collaboration with key departments such as Wellbeing, Boundless, Impact, and Campus Build
  • Distribution of Team Member awards and recognition
  • Assist with managing the tuition reimbursement program; ensuring the proper approval, required supporting documents, and payment are completed
  • Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws / regulations
  • Assist in the execution of a full job description auditing, identifying gaps and partnering with the Senior HRBP and leadership to draft, update, or adjust job descriptions to ensure all roles across the division have current job information on file
  • Assist with HR data and reporting efforts as well as maintaining current HR files and databases
  • Assisting with administrative activities as needed to support strategic people-focused initiatives within the areas of Performance Management, Leadership Development, Training, and Talent Development.
  • Execute activities supporting Clayton’s Summer Internship Program to include event planning, communications, scheduling, and other tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of some college coursework in a related field such as Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Marketing / Communications, etc. required
  • Must have a passion for connect with and serving others, as well as an ability to build and maintain strong working relationships in a highly collaborative environment
  • Must have an excellent attention to detail and strong personal organization skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & experience with Canva or similar applications preferred
  • Must have a natural sense of curiosity and aptitude for researching problems, identifying root causes, gathering accurate information, and making data-driven decisions
  • Must be able to operate with a high degree of confidentiality, use sound judgement, and exercise appropriate discretion
