Position Summary: This individual will support the design, configuration, updates, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of ERP modules related to Order Management, Supply Chain, Cost Accounting, Receivables, Planning, and Production within Clayton’s vertically integrated housing operations. They will customize workflows and manage specific Master Data Management (MDM) elements to ensure consistent enterprise-wide application usage. The role involves close collaboration with internal technology shared services, vendors, portfolio and development teams, and business subject matter experts to ensure requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented. This position bridges both business and technology functions, requiring strong communication and organizational skills.
*This is an "On-Site" role and must be located in Knoxville.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Recommend design improvements, enforce system governance, maintain standardization, and assist in configuration of ERP modules to enhance information flow efficiency.
Coordinate testing, implementation, and training activities for monthly and quarterly ERP system updates.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to build strong, effective working relationships.
Troubleshoot ERP-related issues, focusing on business functionality and validating configuration enhancements and Oracle updates.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Champion process improvements that support business operations and contribute to the design of future-state products and platforms.
Lead process improvement initiatives by mapping changes, refining requirements and scope, and proactively communicating project capabilities to business leaders, stakeholders, and users.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of technical and business experience.
1-3 years of experience in business analysis or a similar role.
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including executives, managers, end users, IT professionals, and subject matter experts across various business units.
Demonstrated experience in leading requirement-gathering workshops and training sessions with large groups, including business users and leadership.
Self-motivated with the ability to independently learn and master ERP and Oracle modules to optimize their use and design.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficient in process mapping, group facilitation, data collection and analysis, and all phases of the project lifecycle—from requirements gathering through deployment and performance evaluation.
Highly adaptable, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Functional understanding of Supply Chain, General Ledger (GL), and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
