JOB SUMMARY

The Operational Support Specialist is responsible for the effective and consistent pipeline management of construction projects for numerous locations while maintaining their schedule. The Operational Support Specialist will play a pivotal role in our HouseSmart construction division, providing crucial insights, communication with internal/external stakeholders and pre-planning support to ensure the success of our projects. JOB FUNCTIONS

- Review, manage, and communicate pipeline for efficient and effective scheduling and execution of construction projects

  • Intake work from our retail home center locations with sufficient detail and information required to plan and schedule the work.
  • Partner as a strategic liaison between HouseSmart and Retail locations, ensuring a timely and effective communication stream for production operations.
  • Assist Production leadership in creating effective schedules that maximize efficiency, productivity, profitability, customer experience and Team Member experience.
  • Invoice completed work accurately and on a timely basis.

- Collaboration and Communication Ownership

  • Collaborate effectively and constantly with HouseSmart and Retail location leadership, ensuring accurate and timely information is being shared for production.
  • Build strong relationships and execute processes consistently with Home Centers and Project Management functions.
  • Partner and collaborate with Zone, Regional and Corporate functions as required.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations or Logistics preferred or equivalent mix of education and experience.

- Years of Related Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in modular home construction required.

- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability to effectively work in fast-paced operations with changing dynamics and variables
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with business and end customers
  • Ability to learn and utilize a variety of software programs used in general business activities
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated strict attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to problem solve issues as they arise
  • Motivated self-starter with a desire to learn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This is a home office role - will be eligible to working remotely after spending time in the position and learning the role.
  • This position requires potential day travel, or occasional overnight travel within a defined geographic area between multiple locations, quarterly.

  • Not teamshare eligible, it has its own potential bonus structure.
